A growing banking and consumer lending organization is seeking a Universal Banker for a direct hire opportunity in Charleston, SC. The Universal Banker will serve as a key point of contact for customers, assisting with transactions, account servicing, cash handling, product education, and branch operations. This is a strong opportunity for candidates with recent experience as a Universal Banker, Personal Banker, Bank Teller, Customer Service Representative, or similar banking role.

Key Responsibilities

- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other routine banking services.
- Assist customers with account servicing needs, product education, and general banking inquiries.
- Handle cash with accuracy, attention to detail, and compliance with established banking procedures.
- Support daily branch operations in a high-volume environment while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Build positive customer relationships by listening, communicating clearly, and identifying appropriate banking solutions.
- Collaborate with branch team members and contribute to a professional, service-focused, and team-oriented environment.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $50,000 to $56,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Schedule requirement: Full-time availability.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support customer transactions, account servicing, and cash handling in a branch banking environment.
- Provide product education and customer service support to banking clients.
- Assist with day-to-day branch operations in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Communicate clearly with customers and team members while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

- High School diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Bank Teller, CSR, or similar banking role required, preferably within the past 5 years.
- 2 or more years of recent banking experience preferred for strong alignment with the role.
- Experience in a Universal Banker, Personal Banker, Teller, or banking Customer Service Representative role is strongly preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain professional in a high-volume branch environment.
- Adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working with a wide variety of customer situations.
- Strong attention to detail, cash handling accuracy, and willingness to jump in where needed.
- Positive attitude, clear communication skills, and a team-focused approach.

Preferred Qualifications

- Fiserv experience preferred, including Navigator and Teller systems.
- Recent experience in a high-volume bank branch environment.
- Experience educating customers on banking products and services.
