Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Attorney with substantial trucking and/or transportation litigation experience to join our rapidly growing, collaborative litigation team. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional capable of independently managing a caseload while also working closely with colleagues across an inclusive, innovative, and supportive workplace. Key Responsibilities

Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive briefs, opinions, and memoranda.

Evaluate new cases upon assignment, including assessing claims and proposing strategic litigation plans.

Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery responses; take and defend depositions and examinations under oath.

Litigate pre-trial motions and manage all aspects of case development.

Represent clients in mediations, trials, and jury trials.

Oversee comprehensive file management, ensuring adherence to client, court, and internal deadlines.

Required Experience & Skills

Active Member of the Florida Bar.

Admission to the Middle, Northern, and Southern District Courts of Florida.

Minimum 5 years of trucking/transportation litigation experience.

Proven experience with cargo loss and damage claims and issues involving goods in transit.

Broad knowledge of litigation matters affecting clients in the trucking and transportation industries.

Familiarity with ProLaw or similar case management systems.

Required Education & Licensure

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida.
