Thursday – Saturday: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Sunday (every other Sunday): 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Position Overview:
The Tribal Law Enforcement Officer plays a vital role in supporting the safety, integrity, and daily operations of the Tribal Government. Under the general direction of the Tribal Law Enforcement Manager and the supervision of the Lead Tribal Law Enforcement Officer, this position assists in the implementation of a uniform “Observe and Report” patrol program. The ideal candidate will conduct all duties in a courteous and respectful manner that upholds the values, policies, and reputation of the Tribal Government.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine observe-and-report patrols to support safety and security across Tribal properties
Provide excellent customer service to Tribal members, staff, and visitors
Monitor and report suspicious or unsafe activity in accordance with established procedures
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of tribal policies, regulations, and procedures
Prepare clear and accurate reports and documentation
Work collaboratively with Tribal leadership and law enforcement staff
Uphold professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality at all times
Education & Experience Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, CHSPE certificate, or equivalent from a U.S. institution (required)
3+ years of experience directly related to law enforcement or security duties (highly preferred)
Supervisory experience in security or law enforcement (highly desired)
Background check and drug screen required
Certifications & Licenses:
California Guard Card with Firearm Permit (required)
CPR and Basic First Aid Certification (required)
