Local Tribal Court seeking an experienced Court Clerk to support daily court operations during a 3 to 4 month maternity leave. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with judges from day one in a low-volume court setting while gaining hands-on experience in Tribal court procedures.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage court dockets; schedule and coordinate hearings (bench trials, Zoom).
Process and maintain court documents, case files, exhibits, and witness lists.
Assist the public, attorneys, and Tribal members with inquiries.
Coordinate with judges on daily court activities.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in all records.
Qualifications:
3+ years as a court clerk or legal setting experience (Tribal, State, or Federal court preferred).
Strong Microsoft Office skills; organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
Excellent communication skills; able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Knowledge of Tribal laws and court operations preferred.
