Travel Agency Manager

This role is responsible for managing all travel agents, coordinating travel arrangements, enhancing agency growth, and maintaining operational excellence across all service centers.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, train, and certify travel agents to ensure all centers are staffed with skilled personnel.
Monitor staffing, vacations, FAM trips, and business travel schedules.
Develop and implement programs to enhance agency growth and brand image.
Track agency sales, provide sales reinforcement, and generate regular performance reports.
Plan and lead travel promotions, including cruise nights, travel fairs, and group events.
Conduct ongoing staff training in sales, products, vendor relations, and agency operations.
Extend sales to existing accounts and assist in acquiring new accounts.
Stay informed of travel industry trends and keep staff updated on new programs and services.
Coordinate with airlines, cruise lines, tour operators, and wholesalers for updates and promotions.
Oversee travel system contracts, prepare for negotiations, implement enhancements, and arrange staff training.
Direct and manage all travel staff, providing leadership, support, and performance guidance.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in the travel industry:

No degree – 10+ years experience
Bachelor’s degree – 5+ years experience
Master’s degree – 1+ year experience

Knowledge of travel agency operations, airline systems, and hospitality business practices.
Strong leadership, delegation, and team motivation skills.
Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Understanding of laws, regulations, and compliance relevant to travel operations.
Knowledge of training methods and curriculum design.
Proficiency in sales tracking, reporting, and performance monitoring.
