Job Title: Title Examiner (Policy)
Location: Warrenville, IL (Hybrid Possible – Onsite Required at Times)
Schedule: Full-time

Job Summary:
A skilled Title Examiner is needed to support policy issuance operations by reviewing title commitments, recorded documents, and preparing final policies. This role requires attention to detail, strong research abilities, and a solid understanding of title insurance practices. The ideal candidate will work independently and support both internal teams and external clients with timely, accurate information.

Key Responsibilities:

Examine recorded documents and title commitments to ensure all requirements and exceptions are properly addressed before issuing policies.

Prepare and issue Owner’s and Loan Policies, including applicable endorsements, in compliance with underwriting and procedural guidelines.

Verify accuracy of legal descriptions, policy amounts, insured parties, lenders, and endorsements.

Communicate with internal departments and external clients to gather or clarify information.

Respond to post-closing inquiries related to policy issuance.

Workflows may vary by geographic region.

Prepare and review reports for accuracy and compliance.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience in title examination or a similar role.

Strong attention to detail and quality.

Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Customer service oriented.

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and internal operating systems.

Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

State license(s) may be required depending on jurisdiction.
