Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Title Clerk for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL. This role supports residential real estate title operations by ordering, reviewing, and processing title searches, commitments, surveys, estoppels, and related closing documentation.

This is a great opportunity for a title professional who enjoys structured work, accurate documentation, and collaborating with internal teams, lenders, and outside parties to help ensure smooth home closing transactions. The position offers initial in-office training, followed by a remote work arrangement with occasional required office visits. Candidates must live near the Orlando office location.

The ideal Title Clerk will bring residential title processing experience, strong organization skills, and the ability to manage multiple files, deadlines, and document requests in a professional, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Request, input, and maintain lender title requests, including revisions and updates.
- Order and review title searches, surveys, estoppels, and related documentation.
- Examine title documentation to verify ownership, legal descriptions, mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, restrictions, and other encumbrances.
- Prepare and issue title commitments and assist with title policy issuance and auditing.
- Maintain accurate file records, track document status, compile reports, and support closing timeline requirements.
- Respond to prior policy requests related to refinancing and resale transactions.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $20.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temporary contract, with possible temp-to-perm potential based on performance.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- Work arrangement: Remote after approximately 1 to 2 weeks of in-office training.
- Office location: Orlando, FL 32819.
- Candidates must live near the office location and be available for required in-office visits.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Order, review, and process residential title searches and related closing documentation.
- Issue title commitments and support title policy preparation and auditing.
- Track surveys, estoppels, prior policies, lender requests, revisions, and file documentation.
- Examine mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, plat books, maps, contracts, and agreements for title accuracy and compliance.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years of residential title processing experience required.
- Homebuilding title experience preferred over timeshare-related title experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to maintain simple to complex title files, keep accurate records, and compile and check reports.
- Strong reading comprehension and ability to review legal and real estate documentation accurately.
- Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment after training while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using RamQuest.
- Prior experience supporting residential home closing transactions.
- Familiarity with title commitments, title policies, surveys, estoppels, and prior policy requests.
