We are currently recruiting an experienced Bookkeeper for an in-office position in Shreveport, LA 71106.
Responsibilities:
Manage all accounts payable and receivable functions
Handle bank and credit card reconciliations
Process payroll and related tax filings
Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and reports
Maintain and update harvest databases and filing systems in a timely manner
Interact with field staff and customers to reconcile harvest records and settlements
Verify and input settlements and tickets into the Manager system
Work with customer representatives, internal accountants, and auditors to resolve settlement discrepancies
Develop and provide harvest-related information for external reporting
Develop, distribute, and maintain contracts as identified by foresters
Maintain insurance compliance for all contracts, ensuring accuracy and currency
Administer hunting lease programs, ensuring leasing compliance and annual payment collection
Maintain and validate property tax accounts and records to ensure timely tax payments
Ensure proper operation and upkeep of office systems, supplies, business machines, telephone systems, and computer network
Communicate with service contractors as needed
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a full-charge bookkeeper
Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) and Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Pay: $19–$24 per hour
