Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Test Technician for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Ventura, CA. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional with a strong background in electrical, RF, mechanical, or environmental testing who enjoys troubleshooting, product validation, and working with advanced test equipment.
The Test Technician will support manufacturing and engineering operations by performing product testing, diagnosing failures, maintaining specialized equipment, and helping ensure products meet quality and performance standards. This is a stable first-shift opportunity in a technically advanced manufacturing environment with supportive leadership, collaborative teams, and the opportunity to contribute directly to prototype, pre-production, and production work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform product testing for manufacturing and engineering departments, including prototype, pre-production, and production RF switches.
- Read and interpret test procedures, wiring schematics, technical documentation, and product specifications.
- Set up, install, configure, maintain, repair, and optimize specialized test equipment.
- Troubleshoot test setup issues, product failures, and equipment-related concerns.
- Conduct product inspections and environmental testing to support quality and performance requirements.
- Document test results, complete reports, and manage assignments within required timelines.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform RF, electrical, mechanical, and environmental product testing.
- Troubleshoot product failures, test setup issues, and equipment concerns.
- Maintain, repair, configure, and optimize test equipment.
- Support engineering and manufacturing teams with prototype, pre-production, and production testing.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, RF, and/or environmental testing.
- Ability to read wiring schematics, test procedures, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency using test equipment such as network analyzers, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, Hi-Pot testers, power supplies, power meters, spectrum analyzers, function generators, and vibration test systems.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Experience using computer applications for data analysis and test reporting.
- Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing RF switches or similar electronic, electromechanical, or high-reliability components.
- Background supporting both manufacturing production testing and engineering development testing.
- Experience in a technical manufacturing environment with quality-focused documentation and inspection requirements.
