Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair garage doors, openers, hardware, and related mechanical systems.
- Install new garage doors and garage door openers for residential customers.
- Diagnose repair needs, explain service options, and provide estimates that include materials and project scope.
- Communicate with customers in person, by phone, and by email regarding repairs, estimates, changes, and completion timelines.
- Perform work in compliance with safety requirements, building codes, and company quality standards.
- Coordinate with management to resolve issues, schedule work, and support same-day installation needs.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Troubleshoot and repair garage doors, garage door openers, and related hardware.
- Install garage doors and openers safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Diagnose customer service issues and recommend appropriate repair or replacement options.
- Prepare estimates and communicate project scope, materials, and timelines.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
- 2 years of mechanical door repair experience, including garage door installation, opener installation, diagnosis, and repair.
- Ability to sell garage door repairs, garage doors, and openers by clearly explaining options and features to customers.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools in a field service environment.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to interact with customers in person, by phone, and by email.
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and reliable attendance.
- Ability to travel daily to customer locations for service and installation work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in residential garage door service, repair, or installation.
- Experience working in a customer-facing field service role.
- Familiarity with common garage door brands, opener systems, springs, tracks, panels, and hardware.
- Sales or estimating experience in a repair, installation, or home services environment.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professional communication with customers and management.
