Tax Resolution Specialist

As an Tax Resolution Specialist with our client’s growing tax resolution firm, you will serve as a designated Power of Attorney, representing clients in negotiations with the IRS and state taxing authorities. You will be responsible for crafting tailored resolution strategies and ensuring client satisfaction through timely and effective tax advisory and representation. You’ll collaborate closely with a team of Case Managers to ensure each client’s needs are handled with care, urgency, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the authorized representative for clients with the IRS and state tax agencies

Conduct in-depth financial analyses to determine the best resolution strategies

Prepare and submit resolution programs such as Offers in Compromise, Installment Agreements, and more

Work to lift garnishments, levies, and other collection actions

Negotiate directly with Revenue Officers to meet key deadlines

Partner with Case Managers to review cases, strategize, and communicate updates

Ensure clients remain in compliance and provide sound tax advisory guidance


Qualifications:
Licensed Enrolled Agent (EA) in good standing with the IRS (mandatory)

Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

2+ years of experience in tax services or resolution work

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong ability to multitask and manage a dynamic caseload

Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
