Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Senior Accountant / Tax Accountant to manage a client base of 450-530 clients. This position involves preparing and planning taxes from A to Z, handling client meetings (primarily face-to-face), and overseeing the full spectrum of accounting services. The ideal candidate will be driven to find ways to optimize processes and ensure the efficient management of client accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle a variety of accounting tasks including tax preparation, tax planning, audits, and bookkeeping services for clients.
Use Lacerte tax software for tax preparation and planning.
Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines and deliverables are met.
Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients (approximately 70% of meetings).
Be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve processes and workflows.
Ensure smooth operations and deliver high-quality service to clients.
Qualifications:
CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred; candidates working towards these qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Strong proficiency in Lacerte tax software.
Advanced computer skills, including expertise in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.).
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain client relationships.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle a high volume of clients (currently 450-530 clients).
