Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced, dependable, and client-focused Bilingual Spanish Tax Preparer to join our team on a year-round basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who not only prepares accurate returns but is also excited to teach, review, and contribute to the growth of the firm. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in tax law, and comfortable communicating directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare individual and small business tax returns (Federal & State)
Review returns prepared by team members for accuracy and compliance
Identify deductions, credits, and tax-saving strategies
Ensure client documentation is complete and accurate
E-file returns and manage follow-ups
Communicate professionally with clients regarding tax situations
Collaborate with CPA and administrative team for workflow efficiency
Train and support junior staff and interns
Help improve internal processes and client satisfaction
Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism
Requirements
Bilingual Spanish is required
Minimum 3 years of tax preparation experience
Experience with individual (1040) and business (1120/1065) returns
Active CTEC certification required
Active PTIN (or willingness to obtain)
Experience reviewing and verifying other preparers’ work
Strong understanding of U.S. tax law and filing procedures
Proficient with Drake Tax Software or similar
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to train and mentor junior staff
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with tax resolution or back tax filings
Leadership or supervisory experience
Interest in long-term growth within the firm
