About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Preparer/Accountant to join our team in Clearwater, FL. In this role, you won't just be crunching numbers; you’ll be a trusted advisor to our clients, helping them navigate complex tax laws and optimize their financial health. This is a full-time, onsite position perfect for someone who thrives in a professional, collaborative office environment.

What You’ll Do
Tax Preparation: Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and corporations (1040, 1120, 1120-S, and 1065).

Client Consultation: Meet in person with clients to gather financial records, explain tax obligations, and provide year-round planning strategies.

Compliance: Ensure all returns are filed accurately and timely while staying up-to-date on the latest IRS regulations and tax code changes.

Problem Solving: Research complex tax issues and respond to IRS or state tax notices on behalf of clients.

Audit Support: Assist in representing clients during audits or examinations when necessary.

What We’re Looking For
Experience: Minimum of [2-5] years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.

Credentials: Active PTIN required; CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) license is a major plus.

Tech Savvy: Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Lacerte, UltraTax, Drake) and MS Excel.

Communication: Ability to explain "tax-speak" in plain English to clients.

Reliability: A commitment to onsite presence and the ability to thrive during the peak demands of tax season.
