Position Overview:
We are seeking a Bilingual Spanish CTEC Certified Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in federal and California tax regulations, and passionate about delivering excellent client service. This role requires fluency in Spanish and English to support our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file individual and small business tax returns (1040, Schedule C, E, etc.)
Conduct client interviews to gather financial and tax-related information
Review financial records, income statements, and documentation for accuracy
Ensure compliance with IRS and California state tax laws
Communicate clearly with clients regarding tax strategies, liabilities, and refunds
Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information
Assist with responding to IRS or state tax notices when needed
Qualifications:
Active CTEC Certification (required)
Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
Minimum 1–2 years of tax preparation experience
Strong knowledge of federal and California tax regulations
Experience with tax software (Lacerte, Drake, ProSeries, or similar)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and customer service abilities
