We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented CPA to join our growing firm and play a key role in tax preparation, bookkeeping, tax resolution, and team leadership. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who wants to help build, improve, and grow a practice while delivering high-quality service to individuals and small businesses.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, and comfortable leading processes, reviewing work, and mentoring others. Bilingual Spanish is required due to our client base.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate and timely bookkeeping services for individuals and small businesses
Prepare, review, and sign off on individual and business tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with IRS and state regulations
Manage tax resolution cases, including offers in compromise, installment agreements, and communication with tax authorities
Assist with audits and respond to IRS and state tax notices
Write, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for tax preparation, client onboarding, document handling, and internal workflows
Train and mentor tax preparers and administrative staff on accounting processes, tax software, and compliance standards
Collaborate with firm leadership to improve internal systems, workflows, and client service quality
Help grow and shape the firm’s service offerings and operational structure
Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, teamwork, and long-term success
Qualifications:
Active CPA license in the state of California (or eligible for reciprocity)
Minimum 3 years of experience in tax, bookkeeping, and/or public accounting
Strong knowledge of tax preparation, tax resolution strategies, and accounting principles
Experience reviewing tax returns prepared by others
Prior experience creating SOPs or internal process documentation
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Drake Software, and other accounting/tax platforms
Strong communication, leadership, and training abilities
Comfortable leading and supporting a small team
Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
Long-term mindset with a desire to grow alongside the firm
