Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team and assist clients with accurate tax filing and preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to provide professional guidance to clients.

This is an in-office role based in Washington State. Only applicants currently residing in Washington will be considered; out-of-state candidates are not eligible.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and small businesses.

Gather, organize, and analyze client financial documents to ensure accurate reporting.

Advise clients on tax planning and compliance matters.

Stay up-to-date with tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines.

Respond to client inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

Maintain accurate and confidential records of all tax filings.

Assist with audits and tax notices when necessary.

Qualifications:

1–3 years of tax preparation experience preferred.

Familiarity with tax software (e.g., TurboTax, Drake, Lacerte) and Microsoft Office.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.

CPA, EA, or other tax-related certifications a plus.
