A growing boutique CPA firm / public accounting firm is hiring a Tax Manager with strong experience in individual tax, business tax, trust & estate tax, and nonprofit tax compliance.
We are seeking a licensed CPA with 5+ years of public accounting experience preparing and reviewing 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041, and 990 returns, including multi-state tax compliance, tax projections, and complex federal and state filings.
Key Responsibilities
Review and manage preparation of individual (1040), corporate (1120), S-Corp (1120S), partnership (1065), trust/estate (1041), and nonprofit (990/990-PF) tax returns
Oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance
Prepare and review tax projections, quarterly estimates, and year-end planning strategies
Research and resolve complex tax law and compliance issues
Review financial statements, trial balances, book-to-tax adjustments
Manage and mentor tax staff and senior associates
Maintain strong client advisory relationships with small-to-mid-sized businesses and high-net-worth individuals
Identify opportunities for tax planning, tax savings, and process improvement
Required Qualifications
Active CPA license (required)
5+ years of public accounting tax experience
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax law
Experience with multi-state business tax, pass-through entities, corporations, trusts, and nonprofits
Proficiency in UltraTax, tax preparation software, Microsoft Excel
Experience reviewing returns and supervising staff
