Job Summary

A growing public accounting office in the Coral Gables area of Miami is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to lead complex federal and international tax compliance and consulting engagements for middle-market clients. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a tax professional who wants strong leadership visibility, long-term career growth, and the opportunity to help develop an expanding Miami office presence.

The Senior Tax Manager will work closely with firm leadership, manage engagement teams, review technical tax work, and advise clients on sophisticated domestic and international tax matters. This role offers a professional, team-oriented environment with supportive leadership, strong client relationships, and meaningful opportunities to mentor staff, contribute to business development, and shape the success of the tax practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and review complex U.S. international tax filings, including Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, 8992, 8993, 1118, 1116, 926, and related reporting.
- Oversee technical tax calculations related to GILTI, FDII, Subpart F income, QBAI, E&P, PTEP, basis adjustments, and related international tax matters.
- Review international components of consolidated U.S. income tax returns and oversee tax compliance for corporate, partnership, and individual clients.
- Supervise Tax Managers, Seniors, Associates, and engagement teams while reviewing workpapers, returns, and technical tax memorandums.
- Advise clients on federal and international tax issues, support M&A transactions, assist with due diligence projects, and contribute to consulting assignments.
- Manage engagement economics, including billing, collections, budgets, client service opportunities, and business development initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $160,000 to $180,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead complex federal and international tax compliance and consulting engagements for middle-market clients.
- Manage technical review of international tax filings, consolidated return components, workpapers, and tax memorandums.
- Supervise and develop tax engagement teams while coordinating workflow, deadlines, budgets, and client deliverables.
- Advise clients on domestic and international tax matters, business growth opportunities, and transaction-related tax considerations.

- Active CPA license required or in process.
- 5 to 8+ years of domestic and/or international tax experience in public accounting.
- Strong technical knowledge of the U.S. Tax Code and international tax reporting requirements.
- Experience with complex international compliance structures and related tax forms.
- Proficiency with tax software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong leadership, team management, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- High ethical and professional standards with a strong commitment to quality client service.

Preferred Qualifications

- MST, JD, or LLM in Tax preferred.
- Experience supporting M&A transactions, due diligence projects, and tax consulting engagements.
- Prior experience mentoring staff, participating in recruiting, and contributing to business development initiatives.
- Strong background serving middle-market clients in a public accounting environment.
