We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing and reviewing tax returns, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to provide guidance to both clients and staff. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of individual and business clients while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare complex individual and business tax returns with accuracy and efficiency
-Review tax returns prepared by staff to ensure compliance and quality standards
-Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members
-Research and resolve tax-related issues for clients
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations
-Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax planning and filing requirements
-Assist with workflow management to meet deadlines during peak seasons
Qualifications:
-3–5 years of experience preparing individual and business tax returns
-1–2 years of experience reviewing tax returns prepared by others
-CPA preferred, but not required
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-Excellent communication and client service abilities
-Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
