Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic and growing team. This role is critical to delivering high-quality tax, accounting, and consulting services to our clients while ensuring compliance with all applicable tax regulations and GAAP. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in building client relationships, developing internal talent, and contributing to overall firm growth.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise
• Deliver accurate, timely tax and accounting services aligned with current tax laws and GAAP
• Conduct complex technical research and advise engagement partners or clients with practical solutions
• Stay current on tax regulations, accounting standards, and industry developments
Practice Development
• Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional service
• Identify new service opportunities and assist in growing the firm’s client base
• Represent the firm in professional and community organizations
Engagement Administration
• Lead tax engagements from planning to completion, including budgeting and project management
• Ensure effective delegation, resource management, and on-time delivery of services
• Monitor client satisfaction and take proactive measures to maintain high service levels
Staff Development
• Supervise, mentor, and train professional staff
• Provide constructive feedback and develop individualized action plans
• Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Active CPA license required
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive tax and accounting experience in public accounting
• Expertise in tax compliance, GAAP, and client consulting
• Proficiency in ProSystem fx Tax and Engagement, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and develop high-performing teams
