About the Opportunity
Seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join growing firm as a Tax Manager. This role is ideal for a technically strong tax professional who thrives in both client-facing consulting and team leadership. You will play a key role in overseeing tax compliance, driving strategic tax planning, and mentoring staff while contributing to firm growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
Manage tax compliance and consulting engagements across a diverse client base
Review complex tax filings and identify risks, opportunities, and solutions
Prepare and review tax projections, estimates, and planning strategies
Oversee financial statement preparation and review
Ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with firm and regulatory standards
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
Build and maintain strong client relationships, act as a trusted advisor
Mentor, develop, and review the work of tax associates and senior staff
Stay current on tax law changes, regulations, and industry trends
Support leadership with firm operations and growth initiatives, including business development
Qualifications
Active CPA license (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s preferred)
5+ years of public accounting tax experience
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
Experience reviewing individual, corporate, and partnership returns
Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
Experience mentoring or leading staff preferred
