? Required Skills & Prerequisites (Must-Haves)

Active Enrolled Agent (EA) license
3+ years of professional tax preparation experience
Strong understanding of federal & state tax laws
Proficiency in tax software (e.g., UltraTax, Drake, ProSeries)
Experience preparing individual and business tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065)
Ability to research, interpret, and apply tax regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
Excellent communication and client service skills
High level of accuracy and confidentiality


?? Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

Experience representing clients before the IRS
Previous work in a CPA or public accounting environment
Knowledge of bookkeeping and financial statement review
Familiarity with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online)
Experience with payroll tax filings or sales tax returns


?? Job Responsibilities

Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
Review financial documents for accuracy, compliance, and deductibility
Analyze tax situations and make recommendations to minimize liability
Research complex tax issues and apply regulatory guidance
Assist clients with IRS notices, audits, and tax resolution
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, credits, and regulations
Communicate directly with clients to gather information and resolve discrepancies
Work closely with the CPA team on year-end planning and reporting
Maintain digital records and ensure confidentiality of client information
Support the firm during peak tax seasons with timely and accurate work
