We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant with a strong focus on sales and use tax. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all state and local tax regulations, supporting financial operations, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions
Monitor and ensure compliance with state and local tax laws and regulations
Reconcile tax accounts and investigate discrepancies
Maintain accurate tax records and documentation
Assist with audits, including gathering and organizing required documentation
Research tax issues and provide recommendations to management
Collaborate with accounting and property management teams on tax-related matters
Support month-end and year-end closing processes as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required)
1–3 years of experience as a Tax Accountant, with a focus on sales and use tax (required)
Strong understanding of multi-state sales tax regulations
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
