We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses. This role is ideal for a tax professional who values accuracy, deadlines, and providing excellent client service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review individual, partnership, corporate, and trust tax returns

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations

Research tax issues and provide recommendations to clients or internal teams

Assist with tax planning strategies and projections

Communicate with clients regarding tax documentation and filing status

Support audits and respond to tax notices as needed

Stay current on tax law changes

Qualifications

2+ years of tax preparation experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required

CPA or CPA-track preferred

Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax regulations

Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Excel

Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills

Preferred Skills

Experience in a public accounting environment

Client-facing communication experience

Ability to manage multiple deadlines during busy season
