We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team and take ownership of tax preparation, compliance, and advisory support for a diverse client portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in their technical tax knowledge, enjoys client interaction, and can work independently with accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns
Conduct tax research and interpret tax laws to ensure full compliance
Analyze financial information, identify discrepancies, and recommend solutions
Prepare quarterly and annual tax projections for clients
Manage client relationships and provide guidance on tax strategies and planning
Ensure timely filing of all returns and maintain accurate documentation
Assist with audits and respond to federal and state tax notices
Collaborate with internal team members to improve processes and workflows
Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of recent tax accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations
Experience with tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSeries, Drake, Lacerte, etc.)
Proficiency in Excel and general accounting software
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills and ability to explain tax matters clearly to clients
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
