Job Title: Tax Accountant
Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our professional finance team. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and supporting tax planning initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of tax law, and proven experience in accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and file corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Conduct tax research and provide guidance on complex tax matters
Support quarterly and annual tax provision processes
Assist with audits and respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities
Maintain accurate tax records, documentation, and reporting schedules
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial planning and strategy
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or EA certification preferred)
Experience in tax accounting, compliance, and preparation (public accounting experience a plus)
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, GAAP, and reporting requirements
Proficiency in tax software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
