Job Title: Tax Accountant – South Seattle Area
Location: Tukwila, WA (South Seattle)
Position Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation: $75,000 – $100,000 DOE + Benefits
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (with additional hours during peak tax season)
About the Opportunity
A well-established accounting firm in South Seattle (Tukwila area) is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for a CPA or EA with strong tax preparation skills who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. You’ll prepare individual and business tax returns, manage compliance filings, and provide QuickBooks support to ensure client records remain accurate and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare federal, state, and local individual and business tax returns
Manage compliance filings including state excise taxes
Provide QuickBooks (desktop and online) support to clients
Maintain client financial records with accuracy and attention to detail
Act as a trusted point of contact for client inquiries and tax planning needs
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
Active CPA or EA license
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in tax preparation
Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and Online
Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills
