A well-established winery in Guerneville, CA is seeking a Tasting Room Associate to provide a polished, welcoming, and memorable guest experience in a scenic wine hospitality environment. The Tasting Room Associate will welcome guests, pour wine and sparkling wine tastings, share winery history, support tasting room sales, and help maintain a clean and inviting guest space. Key Responsibilities

- Welcome guests warmly and deliver an engaging, professional tasting room experience.
- Pour tasting flights and educate visitors on wine, sparkling wine, winemaking methods, and winery history.
- Conduct historical tours and share guest-friendly storytelling about the property and wine production process.
- Process purchases through the POS system, including wine, merchandise, and membership transactions.
- Recommend bottles, pairings, and memberships to support guest satisfaction and sales goals.
- Maintain a clean, stocked, sanitized, and safe tasting room environment throughout each shift.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $20 per hour plus tips.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Schedule: Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Hours: Typically averages up to 25 hours per week.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Deliver guest-facing wine tasting and hospitality service.
- Conduct tours and provide educational storytelling about winery history and winemaking.
- Support retail sales, club membership promotion, POS transactions, and tasting room operations.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, sanitation, and guest safety standards.

- Must be at least 21 years old.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in hospitality, food service, tasting room, restaurant, retail, or customer service preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests in a friendly, confident, and professional manner.
- Comfortable learning and sharing information about wine, sparkling wine, production methods, and brand history.
- Ability to use or quickly learn POS systems and handle customer transactions accurately.
- Sales-minded approach with the ability to recommend products, memberships, and pairings.
- Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced guest service environment.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous tasting room, winery, restaurant, host, retail, or beverage service experience.
- Interest in wine, sparkling wine, hospitality, and guest education.
- Experience meeting sales goals or promoting memberships, loyalty programs, or retail products.
