Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tablet Production Machine Operator for a direct hire opportunity in Livermore, CA. This role supports a regulated medical devices and supplies manufacturing environment focused on quality, safety, efficiency, and compliance.

The Tablet Production Machine Operator will set up, operate, clean, and maintain encapsulation and tablet production equipment while helping ensure finished products meet GMP, SOP, FDA, and company quality standards. This is a strong opportunity for a dependable production professional with mechanical aptitude who enjoys hands-on work, teamwork, and contributing to a clean, well-organized manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up, operate, sanitize, and perform routine maintenance on encapsulation and tablet production equipment.
- Read and follow work orders, Master Manufacturing Records, SOPs, and production instructions to ensure accurate batch processing.
- Monitor machine performance, adjust settings, complete test runs, clear minor jams, and report equipment issues as needed.
- Inspect, weigh, measure, and test capsules or tablets to verify quality and compliance with specifications.
- Complete production, sanitation, cleaning, and quality documentation accurately and on time.
- Clean equipment, containers, machinery, and production areas between batches and at the end of each shift while following GMP and safety requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour.
- Employment type: Direct hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Operate encapsulation and tablet production machinery in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Perform equipment setup, cleaning, sanitation, and routine maintenance.
- Monitor production quality through weighing, measuring, inspection, and documentation.
- Follow GMP, SOP, FDA, safety, and company quality standards throughout the production process.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions, work orders, and production documents.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and cleanliness.
- Good organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, twist, reach, and use hands and fingers throughout the shift.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels, varying temperatures, powders, odors, and allergens.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including gloves, hairnets, face masks, and uniforms.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food production, medical device, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual English and Spanish skills.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts, if certified or required.
