Job Summary

We are seeking a purpose-driven Supportive Housing Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity supporting Permanent Supportive Housing communities across Los Angeles County. This role is ideal for a compassionate, organized, and community-focused professional who wants to make a meaningful impact by helping individuals and families maintain housing stability, access services, and build stronger connections within their communities.

As a Supportive Housing Coordinator, you will work closely with residents, service providers, and internal teams to assess needs, coordinate resources, support engagement, and promote a safe, inclusive living environment. Candidates must be comfortable training and working from the Downtown Los Angeles location for at least 1 month, and potentially up to 6 months, before transferring to Baldwin Park, West Los Angeles, or Carson as additional locations open and become fully staffed. Permanent Downtown Los Angeles openings are also available.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct resident needs assessments and help identify appropriate services, resources, and support plans.
- Connect residents with healthcare, employment, public assistance, social services, and community-based resources.
- Facilitate community meetings, resident engagement activities, and programs that enhance quality of life.
- Build and maintain partnerships with local service providers to bring resources and support on-site.
- Track program outcomes, maintain accurate documentation, and support compliance with reporting requirements.
- Assist with conflict resolution, crisis response, and efforts to foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive housing community.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $21.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Location: Multiple locations across Los Angeles County, including Downtown Los Angeles, Baldwin Park, West Los Angeles, and Carson.
- Training Location: Downtown Los Angeles for a minimum of 1 month, with the possibility of remaining there up to 6 months depending on site openings and staffing needs.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Conduct resident assessments, coordinate supportive services, and help residents access community resources.
- Maintain accurate HMIS-related documentation, service notes, program records, and outcome tracking.
- Support resident engagement through meetings, programs, recreational activities, and community-building initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams, property staff, and external service providers to support housing stability.

- Must be familiar with G.I.R.P. documentation, including Goal, Intervention, Response, and Plan.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field, or 2 or more years of experience in social services, community development, or related work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred within supportive housing, resident services, case support, social services, or community-based programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
- Knowledge of Los Angeles County resources, public assistance programs, and community support systems.
- Strong communication, facilitation, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build trust, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively with diverse and underserved populations.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to coordinate across teams, residents, and community partners.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with HMIS and ICMS is a plus.
- Experience working with seniors, individuals experiencing mental health challenges, or individuals with substance use disorders.
- Crisis intervention experience.
- Community engagement or resident programming experience.
- Experience supporting Permanent Supportive Housing or affordable housing communities.
