Job Summary

A growing manufacturing operations team in Fremont, CA is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an early-career supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or operations professional who enjoys tracking details, communicating with suppliers, and helping keep materials moving on time.

The Supply Chain Specialist will support order management, expedite at-risk shipments, maintain supplier and delivery data, and help ensure internal and external customer requirements are met. This is a strong opportunity to build hands-on experience in supply chain operations within a collaborative, fast-paced production environment.

Candidates can expect a team-oriented workplace with supportive leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to develop practical skills in purchasing, supplier follow-up, ERP systems, data accuracy, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

- Proactively monitor purchase orders, delivery dates, and supplier commitments to identify at-risk orders before they impact customers.
- Expedite broken delivery promises and initiate follow-up actions to support on-time material availability.
- Track, enter, and maintain accurate broken promise, expedite, supplier, and delivery data in company systems.
- Manage purchase order acknowledgment and reacknowledgment processes, including supplier follow-up on open and past due POs.
- Support new part setup and new supplier setup, ensuring accurate documentation and data integrity.
- Collaborate with Buyers, Planners, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve order issues and minimize delivery risk.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage proactive pull-ins, full service expedites, and broken promise tracking for open purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate supplier, part, order acknowledgment, and expedite data in company systems.
- Follow up with suppliers on delivery commitments, past due orders, acknowledgments, and reacknowledgments.
- Support new part additions, new supplier additions, and supplier qualification activities.

- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency with ERP, procurement, or order management systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and data maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Professional supplier communication skills and ability to follow up consistently.
- Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate with Buyers, Planners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve order issues.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting purchase orders, supplier follow-up, expediting, or order management in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with supplier onboarding, supplier qualification, or new part setup processes.
- Experience maintaining procurement, delivery, or supplier data in an ERP system.
