The Superintendent is the driving force behind field execution—owning every aspect of onsite performance from mobilization to closeout. This role leads commercial construction projects ranging from $3M to $15M with full accountability for schedule, safety, quality, and production.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a builder who understands how work actually gets put in place—especially across framing, drywall, and interior systems—and who runs a disciplined, high-performing jobsite that delivers results without excuses.

Key Responsibilities
Own and lead all daily field operations, setting the pace and standard for execution.
Build, manage, and aggressively drive the project schedule, with clear control of critical path activities—particularly framing, drywall, and interior finishes.
Lead subcontractors and field teams with authority—establish expectations, enforce standards, and ensure accountability at every level.
Leverage strong drywall and framing knowledge to sequence work efficiently, identify conflicts early, and maintain production flow.
Interpret and execute from construction documents including drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, and engineered systems (including UL fire-rated assemblies).
Oversee layout, framing, drywall installation, finishing, and inspections to ensure quality and compliance with design and code requirements.
Track manpower, production rates, and daily progress to maximize efficiency and eliminate delays—especially across high-labor scopes like drywall.
Monitor budgets, cost reports, and job cost trends—identify risks early and take decisive corrective action.
Proactively plan and coordinate materials (including board, studs, insulation, and specialty systems), equipment, and logistics to maintain uninterrupted workflow.
Perform field take-offs for drywall and related scopes and develop practical solutions for field-driven changes or gaps.
Serve as the primary onsite communicator—clear, direct, and professional with project teams, owners, architects, and inspectors.
Safety Leadership
Set the tone for an uncompromising safety culture—zero incidents is the expectation.
Enforce all company, site, and OSHA standards without exception.
Lead daily safety meetings, observations, and immediate corrective actions.
Ensure safe execution of drywall and framing operations, including material handling, scaffolding, lifts, and overhead work.
Hold all subcontractors accountable to strict safety compliance and site requirements.
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience as a Superintendent delivering commercial projects in the $3M–$15M range.
Strong hands-on experience in drywall, metal stud framing, and interior systems.
Deep understanding of drywall sequencing, production rates, finishing levels, and inspection requirements.
Strong command of construction documents, coordination, and field sequencing.
Proven ability to build schedules and drive teams to hit—or exceed—milestones.
Solid financial acumen including job cost tracking, budgeting, and production analysis.
Confident, decisive leader with the presence to run a jobsite and manage multiple trades.
OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 strongly preferred.
What Success Looks Like
Jobsites are safe, clean, organized, and operating at a high level.
Framing and drywall scopes run efficiently, on sequence, and without rework.
Schedules are met—or beaten.
Subcontractors perform with urgency, quality, and accountability.
