A leading industrial services company is seeking experienced Stick Welders to support projects across oil & gas, petrochemical, and industrial facilities. This role involves performing high-quality welding on piping, structural components, and pressure systems in demanding environments, while also providing on-site leadership and guidance to crew members. The company specializes in construction, fabrication, and maintenance services for critical infrastructure, with a strong focus on safety, precision, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys
- Weld piping systems, structural components, and industrial equipment to code
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and weld procedures
- Lead and support crew members on-site, ensuring quality workmanship and productivity
- Ensure all welds meet applicable codes and safety standards (ASME/NBIC preferred)
- Assist with fabrication, installation, and repair work in field environments
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and enforce safe work practices among team members
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of stick welding experience in industrial or oil & gas settings
- Prior leadership or crew lead experience required
- Experience working in refineries, plants, or construction environments preferred
- Ability to pass weld tests and required certifications
- Strong understanding of welding safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work outdoors, at heights, and in physically demanding conditions
Work Environment:
- Field-based work at industrial job sites such as plants and refineries
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and physically demanding tasks
- Overtime and travel may be required based on project needs
Compensation: $24-34 an hour DOE
Full time, on-site, temp to hire position
