A growing and well-established company in Bakersfield is actively seeking a driven and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team. Qualifications:
Must have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
Must have minimum 3 years of recent and consecutive staff accountant experience
Strong Microsoft Excel skills are a must
Agriculture or legal accounting experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:
Handle month-end close processes including recurring journal entries, fixed assets, depreciation, allocations, fuel, and cash transfers
Process cash receipts and code bank deposits
Reconcile intercompany accounts receivable and advances
Assist with year-end tax preparation and reporting
Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis
Analyze payroll taxes, garnishments, insurance, prepaid water, tree/vine deposits, and related accounts
Prepare budget variance explanations and support financial reporting initiatives
