A temp-to-hire Staff Accountant opportunity is available in Fresno, CA for an experienced accounting professional with strong financial reporting, multi-entity accounting, and accounting process support experience. The Staff Accountant will support month-end close, year-end close, GAAP compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting for leadership review. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review accounting team work to help ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of accounting tasks.
- Support multi-entity accounting processes, including month-end close and year-end close activities.
- Prepare accurate financial reports and deliver reporting support for senior management review.
- Ensure accounting practices align with GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements.
- Collaborate with leadership to support operational reporting and strategic financial decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting accuracy, and overall team efficiency.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $26.00-28.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Support month-end close, year-end close, and financial reporting activities.
- Manage accounting processes for multiple entities.
- Review accounting work for accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
- Partner with leadership on financial reporting and process improvement.
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and internal controls.
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and close processes.
- Ability to review work, support team performance, and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, analytical thinking, and follow-through.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across accounting, operations, and leadership teams.
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting accounting process improvements or workflow efficiencies.
- Prior team lead, senior accountant, or accounting supervisory experience.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
