A growing property management company in Redmond, WA is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working with financial data, maintaining accurate records, and partnering with internal teams to support informed business decisions.
The Staff Accountant will play a key role in keeping financial information accurate, timely, and compliant while contributing to the continued success of a stable and expanding real estate and property management organization. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting support.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including documentation and variance review.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis by comparing actual results against projected expenses and revenues.
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice review, audits, and compliance-related documentation.
- Collaborate with property management, operations, and administrative teams to resolve accounting questions and maintain accurate financial information.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $90,200 to $116,800 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Support general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Analyze financial data, trends, expenses, and variances to support management decision-making.
- Partner with internal teams to maintain accurate financial records and resolve accounting questions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting experience required, with 3-5 years of experience ideal for this role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, general ledger processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting practices.
- Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Professional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in property management, real estate, construction, or a related industry.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and audit preparation.
- Familiarity with accounting systems used in real estate, property management, or multi-entity environments.
