Job Summary

We are seeking a Staff Accountant for a direct hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA with a manufacturing organization focused on strengthening its accounting operations through finance automation, ERP optimization, and AI-enabled process improvement. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong GAAP knowledge, month-end close experience, and an interest in using technology to make finance processes faster, cleaner, and more scalable.

The Staff Accountant will work closely with Accounting, FP&A, AP/AR, Cost Accounting, and IT teams in a collaborative environment with supportive leadership and opportunities to contribute beyond traditional accounting tasks. This is a strong career opportunity for someone who enjoys general ledger accounting, process improvement, systems enhancements, and practical use of tools such as Excel, ERP systems, AI platforms, and automation workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage general ledger activity within the ERP system and help ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and account analysis.
- Maintain internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
- Build, enhance, and support finance automation workflows using AI tools, Excel automation, Power Automate, or similar technologies.
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, AP/AR, Cost Accounting, and IT on ERP upgrades, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $80,000 to $92,000 per year.
- Bonus: 10%.
- Job type: Direct hire.
