Job Summary

A growing organization in Clifton Heights, PA is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with hands-on QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Enterprise experience, strong general ledger skills, and exposure to manufacturing, wholesale, or distribution environments.

The Staff Accountant will support core accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and inventory accounting. Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Enterprise.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including variance analysis and management reporting.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, reconcile inventory accounts, analyze costing and valuation, and investigate discrepancies.
- Partner with operations, warehouse, and purchasing teams to support inventory accuracy, process improvements, and reliable financial reporting.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Prepare financial statements, variance analysis, budgeting support, and cash flow reporting.
- Manage inventory accounting, inventory reconciliations, costing analysis, and discrepancy research.
- Use QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Enterprise for daily accounting operations, reporting, and system maintenance.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of accounting experience.
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Enterprise.
- Experience in a manufacturing, wholesale, or distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP.
- Experience with inventory accounting, inventory reconciliations, and inventory-related reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively with accounting and operations teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience generating customized financial and inventory reports in QuickBooks.
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
- Experience supporting accounting process improvements or system enhancements.
- Strong Excel skills for reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis.
