Job Summary

A temporary Staff Accountant opportunity is available in Fresno, CA for an experienced accounting professional with strong multi-entity accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership skills. The Staff Accountant will play an important role in month-end close, year-end close, GAAP compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

- Manage and review the work of the accounting team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of accounting tasks.
- Oversee accounting processes for multiple entities, including month-end close and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports for senior management review.
- Ensure accounting practices follow GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements.
- Collaborate with leadership to support strategic financial decisions and operational reporting needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting accuracy, and team efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Oversee multi-entity accounting operations and financial reporting.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Review accounting team work for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
- Support senior leadership with timely financial reports and accounting insights.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience is required.
- Experience managing accounting for multiple entities is required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis tools.
- Experience supporting process improvements, close efficiency, or reporting enhancements.
