Full Cycle Accountant – Construction Industry
Hybrid Schedule – WFH Tues/Thurs After 90 Days
Vernon, CA
We are seeking a detail-oriented Full Cycle Accountant with 2–5 years of experience to support accounting operations within the construction, engineering, or aerospace industry. Construction industry experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Perform accounting using the Percentage of Completion (POC) method
Prepare, maintain, and reconcile monthly Work in Progress (WIP) schedules
Record, journalize, and reconcile monthly accounting transactions
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts monthly
Manage fixed assets, including depreciation, capitalization, and asset retirement
Set up and amortize prepaid accounts, including reconciliation
Perform Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
Record payroll transactions and monthly A/R, A/P, and payroll accruals
Support monthly financial statement preparation and supporting schedules
Assist with internal and external audits
Maintain and renew required licenses and permits across multiple states
Prepare and file sales tax returns (multi-state, city, and county)
Support commercial liability insurance audits and reconciliations
File property tax statements for multiple states


Qualifications & Skills
2–5 years of full cycle accounting experience
Construction industry background strongly preferred, if not Engineering or Aerospace acceptable
Experience with POC and WIP accounting required
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
Experience with NetSuite preferred; exposure to other ERP systems a plus
Familiarity with job costing and payroll accounting
Highly detail-oriented, professional, and able to think critically
Trainable, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
