Staff Accountant

$32–$48/hr (DOE) + Growth Opportunity
A growing and dynamic organization in Oxnard is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of an expanding operation.
You’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, and helping improve financial processes as the company continues to scale.
?? What You’ll Do
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment runs
Oversee Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, cash applications, and collections follow-up
General Accounting
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
Assist with month-end and year-end close
Reporting & Compliance
Support financial reporting and account analysis
Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Collaboration & Process Improvement
Partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies
Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of accounting experience with strong AP/AR exposure
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP knowledge a plus)
Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or similar industry
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
Experience with process improvements or system implementations
