We’re partnering with a growing, family-owned hospitality group (approx. $5M annual revenue) to hire a Senior Staff Accountant to serve as the Controller’s right hand. This is a hands-on role supporting daily accounting operations across multiple restaurant locations. The ideal candidate brings restaurant accounting experience, strong ownership mindset, and a long-term commitment to building something meaningful.

This role is perfect for someone who values stability, takes pride in accuracy, and treats the business like their own.

What You’ll Do
• Support the Controller with daily, weekly, and month-end accounting operations
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts
• Manage A/P and A/R with accuracy and timeliness
• Reconcile POS sales, cash, tips, and third-party delivery platforms (UberEats, DoorDash)
• Monitor food, beverage, and labor costs; analyze and explain variances
• Assist with payroll processing and labor cost allocation
• Support month-end close, financial statements, sales tax filings, audits, and ad hoc reporting
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies

What We’re Looking For
• Restaurant accounting experience (required)
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Toast POS
• Detail-driven, structured, hands-on accounting approach
• Clear communicator with both restaurant operations and leadership
• Long-term mindset with integrity, ownership, and accountability

Additional Details
• No health benefits initially (company under 50 employees); benefits launching this quarter with the opening of the Venice location
