A well-established professional services firm is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who has strong hands-on bookkeeping experience, excels with accounting technology, and is ready to take on a high level of responsibility while collaborating with a supportive, talented team.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will manage full-cycle bookkeeping and maintain audit-ready financial documentation for multiple clients. Responsibilities include:
Maintain and manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple client accounts
Process and record AP, AR, payroll, general ledger entries, and daily transactions
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, supplemental reports)
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Ensure accuracy and compliance with firm and accounting standards
Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies or accounting issues
Participate in client meetings and act as a liaison when needed
Utilize accounting software efficiently (QuickBooks Online required; QB Desktop, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Divvy, etc., preferred)
Maintain high-quality documentation and workflow management across multiple clients
Provide exceptional client service while managing deliverables and deadlines
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience (Experience in a CPA or public accounting firm is a plus)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (debits, credits, reconciliations)
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required)
Experience with other accounting software: QuickBooks Desktop, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Divvy, etc. (preferred)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Ability to manage several clients and projects while maintaining accuracy
Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
Ability to adapt quickly to new systems, tools, and workflows
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must understand and uphold the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $50,000–$80,000 per year (based on experience)
