Growing Non-Profit Seeks a Staff Accountant
Salary: Up to $78,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

**Position Summary**
The Staff Accountant supports the financial operations of the organization and ensures accuracy, transparency, and compliance in all accounting activities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about nonprofit work and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Maintain general ledger and assist with month-end and year-end close processes
* Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and grant accounting activities
* Assist with preparation for audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit regulations
* Process accounts payable/receivable and support cash management activities
* Collaborate with program and administrative teams to track expenses and funding
* Maintain accurate financial documentation and internal controls
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* 2–4 years of accounting experience; nonprofit experience strongly preferred
* Working knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting principles
* Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel-Also familiar working with Budgets.
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical ability
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently and as part of a team
