Job Title: Staff Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations at our West Valley City location. This is a fully onsite role requiring consistent in-office presence. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
Prepare journal entries with proper documentation
Assist with preparation of financial statements and reports
Support audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
Maintain organized and accurate accounting records

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
1–3 years of accounting experience preferred
Working knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, onsite environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Compensation
Salary Range: $50,000 – $65,000 annually, depending on experience
