Chesapeake, VA - Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team at their main office in Chesapeake, VA, with a hybrid schedule (one remote day per week). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, ensuring accuracy, and supporting a smooth month-end close.
In this role, you will review monthly financial statements, complete balance sheet reconciliations, and support the month-end close through journal entries and variance analysis. You’ll maintain well-organized workpapers, help resolve discrepancies, support audits, and assist with process improvements. Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel (including pivot tables and lookups) is required.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 1–3 years of accounting experience, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
