Are you looking for an accounting position? We are working with a company in the Moon Township area that is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for journal entries, reconciliations, and AP and AR processes. This Staff Accountant position is full-time and offers great benefits. Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, deferrals, reclassifications).
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, vendor invoices and member-impacting transactions (e.g. checks, ACH, wire transfers).
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, variance analyses, and compliance reports.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting tools.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to resolve out-of-balance items and enhance reporting accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience in corporate, financial services, or credit-union settings.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
Proficient with Excel and accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
