ob Title: Staff Accountant
Location: California (Onsite or Hybrid options depending on employer)
Pay Range: $28 – $38 per hour, depending on experience
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role plays a key part in supporting daily accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and journal entries
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Support financial statement preparation and internal audits
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
2+ years of accounting experience preferred
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (SAP or NetSuite a plus)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting
