Fantastic opportunity for a skilled staff accountant to work for a high-tech and well known organization. Based in the Irvine area, this position can be fully remote or offer a hybrid schedule if you want to get into an office here and there. Candidate must reside in California. The qualified candidate will have the following talents to bring to the table:
• Basic accounting knowledge - 3+ years as a Staff Accountant
• Bachelor's Degree
• High attention to detail and work at a fast pace
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accurate data entry
• Highly deadline driven candidate who produces quality and detailed work
• Payroll experience (we use ADP, but that is not a requirement)
• Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
• Reconciliation, general ledger
• Responsible for Accounts Payable including Expense, Upload EFT/Wires into the bank, approve AP related journal entries
• Bi-Weekly Payroll (processing and administrative support) o Answer employee questions for payroll inquiries o Enter new hires into ADP and maintain employee records.
• Prepare 1099 data annually and quarterly tax filings
• Assist in month-end closing (accruals)
